OYSTR - Orange Youth Teen Representatives is looking for you! Are you an Orange resident in grade 7 thru 12 and want to work to encourage positive youth development, promote prevention, engage in community service, and help plan events in town? If yes, then Orange Youth Services is looking for you! Orange Youth Services Teen Representatives (OYSTR) is led by Orange Youth Services Coordinator Chantelle Bunnell and our two School Resource Officers (SRO’s). Does it sound like a good fit? Ellie Haney, founder of Here For You Clothing, drew inspiration from her personal mental health journey. In the midst of the pandemic, she channeled her darkness into creative energy by designing purposeful garments, finding optimism, and resilience through the process. The event will take place Thursday, May 7th at 6:30 pm.

Congratulations to the 2026 Orange Youth Services Scholarship recipients! Orange Youth Services (OYS) provides $1,000 awards to graduating Orange seniors who demonstrate outstanding character, community service and leadership potential. Interested seniors apply through an application and recipients are selected by the Youth Services Scholarship Committee.

 Presented by the Orange Drug/Alcohol Action Committee, Milford Prevention Council, and West Haven Prevention Council.

Orange Youth Services (OYS) sponsors Drug Take Back Days every April and October. This is a chance for you to dispose of any used or expired medications, as well as vaping devices and even pet medications. Plus, a drop box is always available at the Orange Police Department..

Free 30-minute, community-wide, and in-person Naloxone training. In this 30-minute training, you will learn to: recognize the signs of an opioid overdose, how to administer naloxone, rapidly reverse opioid overdose, and better understand the opioid crisis nationally and in CT.

The Orange Youth Committee creates cards to be given out to Veterans in our community. Contact us to learn more about this wonderful program.

Orange Community Women sponsor backpacks for youth in Orange for the beginning of each school year. These backpacks are filled with all sorts of supplies. If you'd like to help us, or if you'd like to donate items or help sponsor, drop us a line.
